Axel's take: 7.5/10

Good everyday basics, but renovation disruption makes this a conditional pick. a no-frills, limited-service hotel in north Scottsdale, scored for what it is.

This no-frills, limited-service hotel is a practical north Scottsdale base, particularly for short visits with a car. Expedia and Booking.com guests repeatedly praise clean rooms, comfortable beds and helpful staff, while free breakfast and parking strengthen the value. We'd consider it for a straightforward overnight stay rather than a Scottsdale resort break.

The catch is renovation work, reported across several sites through September 2026; completion isn't confirmed. August Expedia guests reported broken elevators and hot hallways, while a September Tripadvisor guest described a daytime water shutdown during construction. Pool and hot-tub availability has also been inconsistent. Those disruptions temper an otherwise positive overall guest picture. Confirm construction, elevator service and pool access before booking; we'd skip it for a quiet daytime retreat or a stay requiring dependable step-free access.

• Best for: short stays with a car; budget-conscious family visits; travelers wanting breakfast and parking included

• Watch out for: renovation completion unconfirmed; recent elevator outages; inconsistent pool and hot-tub availability

• Location: Convenient for north Scottsdale visits and nearby restaurants; a car helps for wider sightseeing.

• Rooms: Comfortable beds and some updated rooms, but renovation-related disruption remains a concern.

• Cleanliness: Generally a strength across Booking.com and Expedia, despite occasional housekeeping misses.

• Service: Helpful staff earn repeated praise, although problem handling receives mixed feedback.

• Amenities: Free breakfast, Wi-Fi, parking and a gym; outdoor pool and hot tub need availability checks, and there is no on-site restaurant.

• Fees and surprises: Pets incur a nonrefundable nightly fee; confirm construction status and working elevators directly.
