Hotels in Saratoga SpringsA practical 3-star hotel south of downtown, near Saratoga Spa State Park
7.3/10
A useful concert base with friendly staff, but bathroom upkeep needs more consistency.
The Hotel Saratoga is a practical 3-star south of downtown, not the upscale boutique stay its styling might suggest. We'd consider it for a SPAC concert or a short driving trip: free parking, included hot breakfast and a seasonal complimentary shuttle make the logistics easier. Booking.com and Expedia guests repeatedly praise the staff, comfortable rooms and shuttle, and their overall ratings remain solid.
The reservation is consistency. Despite the 2023 renovation, multiple 2026 Expedia and Tripadvisor guests describe bathroom mold or mildew, worn finishes and missed housekeeping, alongside many reports of clean rooms. That's a meaningful drawback, not just one unhappy reviewer. Downtown isn't conveniently walkable, so confirm shuttle availability before relying on it. The outdoor pool is closed for the season under Expedia's published schedule. We'd skip it if spotless bathrooms or a walk-everywhere location are priorities.

Best for: SPAC concertgoers; Short stays with a car; Travelers wanting breakfast and parking included
Watch out for: Recurring bathroom cleanliness and maintenance complaints; Housekeeping can be inconsistent; Pool and complimentary shuttle are seasonal
Location: Near Saratoga Spa State Park and convenient for SPAC; downtown generally requires transportation.
Rooms: Comfortable rooms and larger suites draw praise, but some guests report worn finishes and bathroom defects.
Cleanliness: Generally positive aggregate ratings, tempered by repeated recent reports of moldy or poorly cleaned bathrooms.
Service: Friendly front-desk staff and shuttle drivers are strengths; housekeeping follow-through is less reliable.
Amenities: Included hot breakfast, free parking, fitness room, bistro/bar and seasonal outdoor pool and shuttle.
Fees and surprises: Dogs incur a nightly fee; early check-in and late checkout can cost extra; confirm shuttle dates and housekeeping frequency.
