This full-service 4-star is a good base for exploring Sonoma County, rather than a secluded wine-country retreat. Railroad Square restaurants are walkable, and the heated pool, hot tub and courtyard firepit give it more downtime appeal than a basic city hotel. Booking.com and Expedia guests regularly praise clean, comfortable rooms and friendly staff. We'd consider it for a trip mixing winery drives with easy dinners in town.
The catch is consistency. Recent Tripadvisor reviews are more mixed than Expedia's, with recurring complaints about maintenance, service follow-through and disappointing value for a Hyatt Regency.
