Hotels in SaltaA simple 3-star hotel with spacious, studio-style rooms near central Salta
8.0/10
A good-value Salta base with generous rooms, but some rough edges.
Roomie is a simple 3-star hotel with studio-style rooms, about seven blocks from Salta’s main square. It’s a strong pick if space and value matter more than full-service polish. Booking.com and Expedia guests repeatedly praise the large rooms, comfortable beds, cleanliness and helpful staff. Restaurants around nearby Paseo de los Poetas make the location convenient without putting you directly on the main plaza.
The compromises are practical: breakfast gets mixed reviews, several guests report troublesome room locks, and corridor light can enter through glass panels in the doors. Kitchenettes are not reliably equipped for cooking, so don’t assume this is a self-catering apartment. Parking costs extra; confirm arrangements before arrival. We’d skip it if you want a substantial breakfast, fully equipped kitchen or consistently seamless hotel service.

Best for: couples seeking space and value; families wanting larger rooms; travelers using Salta as a sightseeing base
Watch out for: mixed breakfast reviews; room-lock issues and corridor light; limited kitchenette equipment
Location: About seven blocks from Plaza 9 de Julio, with restaurants nearby around Paseo de los Poetas.
Rooms: Generous studio-style rooms and comfortable beds; kitchenette equipment varies and locks draw repeated complaints.
Cleanliness: A consistent strength across Booking.com, Expedia and recent Tripadvisor reviews.
Service: Staff are widely praised as helpful; arrange late arrivals ahead because overnight assistance may be limited.
Amenities: Free Wi-Fi, air conditioning and meeting facilities; breakfast is simple and unevenly received.
Fees and surprises: Parking and pets carry extra charges; confirm parking arrangements and actual kitchenette equipment.
