Hotels in SalamancaA large, business-oriented 4-star near Retiro Park and Movistar Arena
8.6/10
A dependable four-star for comfortable rooms and arena access, rather than old-town atmosphere.
Novotel Madrid Center is a large, business-oriented 4-star in Salamanca, a strong pick for arena events, family trips and travelers happy to use the metro. Booking.com and Expedia guests repeatedly praise clean, comfortable rooms, helpful staff and the extensive breakfast. Retiro Park is within walking distance, and nearby public transport makes the location practical, although this isn't the historic sightseeing core.
The trade-off is scale: conferences and groups make breakfast busy, and some rooms feel less fresh than others. We'd choose it for reliable comfort, not boutique character. Drivers should note repeated complaints about the garage's tight spiral ramp. The rooftop pool is seasonal and currently closed, with listings showing closure from October 1, 2026 through May 31, 2027. We'd skip it if a walk-everywhere old-town base or year-round swimming matters most.
