Hotels in Sacred ValleyA design-led boutique hotel with 3-star comforts outside central Urubamba
8.6/10
Distinctive design and warm hospitality, with practical compromises behind the pretty pictures.
Wifala Harmony is a small, design-led boutique hotel with 3-star comforts, not a luxury resort. Its curved architecture, colorful rooms and planted courtyards give it more personality than most hotels in this class. It's a strong pick for a slower Sacred Valley stay: recent Tripadvisor and Expedia guests repeatedly praise the helpful staff, cleanliness and restaurant, with breakfast a particular strength.
The compromises are practical. It's outside central Urubamba, and guests describe a rough approach road and difficulty finding transport. Sound insulation draws recurring complaints, while some recent visitors report cold rooms or inconsistent heating. The official website advertises a heated pool, but guests across several sites describe cold water; we'd confirm before booking for swimming. We'd skip it if you need walkable town access, reliable warmth or consistently quiet nights.

Best for: Couples who enjoy unusual architecture; Travelers taking a slower Sacred Valley break; Guests with prearranged transport
Watch out for: Rough access road and limited nearby transport; Sound carries between rooms; Cold pool water and inconsistent room heating
Location: About 2.7 km from Urubamba's main square; arrange transport rather than relying on easy town access.
Rooms: Distinctive individually styled rooms; comfort is generally praised, but soundproofing and heating can disappoint.
Cleanliness: Strong overall feedback, including high Expedia cleanliness ratings and recent guest praise.
Service: Helpful, friendly staff are a consistent strength, though complaint handling receives occasional criticism.
Amenities: Gardens, terraces, restaurant, included breakfast and indoor pool; guest reports contradict the advertised pool heating.
Fees and surprises: Expedia lists parking and airport-transfer charges; guests also report extra charges for the shared jacuzzi.
