Hotels in QueretaroA simple budget inn in a colonial house in Querétaro’s historic center
7.0/10
Worth considering for the location, but comfort is basic and sleep can be patchy.
Mesón de Isabel is a simple budget inn in a colonial house, not a polished boutique hotel. Its strongest selling point is the historic-center location: Plaza de Armas, restaurants and sights are an easy walk away. Booking.com guests rate the location much higher than room comfort, while recent Expedia and Tripadvisor reviews often praise helpful staff. It’s a reasonable base for budget travelers spending most of their time exploring.
The trade-offs are real: hard mattresses recur across sites, and courtyard conversations can carry into rooms. Cleanliness earns decent overall marks, but some guests flag bathroom or linen shortcomings; Wi-Fi is another weak spot. There’s no elevator or on-site parking. The website advertises a restaurant, although a July 2026 guest reported it wasn’t operating—confirm before relying on it. We’d skip it for dependable quiet, remote work or hotel-style comforts.
