#6 of 9 hotels in 5 de Febrero & Galerías by Axel's take. 5 de Febrero & Galerías is #3 of 7 places to stay in Queretaro. The best hotels in 5 de Febrero & Galerías, ranked · Where to stay in Queretaro

Axel's take: 8.5/10

Historic character and warmly reviewed service, but check the event calendar before booking. A historic boutique hacienda hotel and event venue outside central Querétaro, scored for what it is.

Hacienda El Salitre is a historic boutique hotel and event venue, with 16 suites arranged around a courtyard in a seventeenth-century hacienda. It’s a strong pick for travelers who prefer character to chain-hotel predictability. Recent Tripadvisor guests praise spacious rooms and attentive staff, while Expedia reviews reinforce the positives on cleanliness, comfort and restaurant food. We’d choose it for a couples’ break or an overnight connected to a celebration.

The catch is that a spa stay here does not guarantee silence: the property hosts weddings and shows, and one recent Expedia guest reported sleep-disrupting parties near the rooms. Ask what’s scheduled during your stay. The hotel puts the historic center about 25 minutes away by car; Expedia also flags limited hot water and no elevator. We’d skip it for walk-everywhere sightseeing or guaranteed early nights.

Best for: Couples seeking historic character; Wedding and event guests; Travelers with a car
Watch out for: Check for parties and shows during your stay; Historic center requires a drive; No elevator; limited hot water flagged by Expedia
Location: Raquet Club setting outside the historic core; the hotel estimates a 25-minute drive downtown.
Rooms: Sixteen courtyard suites; recent guests praise their space, comfort and hacienda character.
Cleanliness: A consistent strength in Expedia feedback, supported by strong Tripadvisor cleanliness ratings.
Service: Recent overnight guests repeatedly praise friendly, attentive staff.
Amenities: Restaurant, spa treatments and event spaces; Expedia also lists a gym, and spa reservations are required.
Fees and surprises: Breakfast may cost extra; confirm inclusions, event schedules and hot-water arrangements before booking.
