Axel's take: 7.2/10

Choose it for the location and views, not the room finishes. a large, aging 3-star tower beside the Plains of Abraham, scored for what it is.

Le Concorde is a large, aging 3-star tower that makes a practical sightseeing base rather than a polished retreat. Its position beside Grande Allée and the Plains of Abraham puts restaurants and Old Québec within walking distance. Expedia guests repeatedly praise spacious rooms, city views and helpful staff; Booking.com’s overall rating supports a good-but-not-great verdict. The indoor pool, hot tubs and revolving CIEL! restaurant give it more appeal than a basic city hotel.

The catch is condition: recent Expedia and Tripadvisor guests still describe worn furnishings and rooms needing attention. Some Tripadvisor guests also report elevator waits and noisy air-conditioning. Cleanliness earns more praise than the décor, but don’t expect uniformly refreshed rooms. Parking costs extra and cannot be reserved; breakfast depends on your package. It’s a sensible pick for location-first travelers, but we’d skip it for a special occasion where room quality matters most.

• Best for: location-first sightseers; families wanting an indoor pool; travelers who prioritize city views

• Watch out for: worn furnishings and uneven room condition; occasional elevator waits and noisy air-conditioning; paid parking without reservations

• Location: Beside Grande Allée and the Plains of Abraham, within walking distance of Old Québec.

• Rooms: Often spacious and comfortable, with appealing views, but recent guests still report tired furnishings.

• Cleanliness: Generally positive recent feedback; room condition is a more consistent concern than cleanliness.

• Service: Recent Expedia reviews repeatedly praise friendly, helpful staff.

• Amenities: The hotel confirms the indoor pool has reopened; hot tubs, saunas, a gym and CIEL! revolving restaurant add appeal.

• Fees and surprises: Parking is paid, subject to availability and not reservable; breakfast is not included with every booking.
