Château Laurier Québec is an independent 4-star just outside Old Quebec’s walls, and we’d pick it for walkable sightseeing rather than luxury-hotel grandeur. Recent Tripadvisor and Expedia guests repeatedly praise the cleanliness, comfortable beds and helpful staff. Grande Allée’s restaurants and the Plains of Abraham are close by, making this a practical base for exploring.
