Axel's take: 8.6/10

A strong beach-resort pick for service and space, with some uneven edges. a large upscale beachfront all-inclusive with family and adults-only sections, scored for what it is.

Majestic Elegance is a large, upscale beachfront all-inclusive, not an intimate luxury retreat. It's a strong pick for travelers who want spacious suites, plenty of restaurants and an easy pool-and-beach routine. Expedia and Booking.com guests consistently praise friendly staff and cleanliness; the adults-only Elegance Club adds separate pools and lounges without making the whole resort adults-only.

The trade-offs are inconsistent food feedback and some reports of rooms and pool areas needing maintenance. Expect a sprawling property rather than everything a few steps away. As of October 2026, neighboring Majestic Colonial is undergoing major renovation; WestJet warns that Elegance guests could hear construction noise. We'd skip it for polished, small-scale luxury or guaranteed quiet, but it's a convincing choice for a sociable resort holiday.

• Best for: couples choosing the adults-only Elegance Club; families wanting varied activities; groups seeking a sociable beach holiday

• Watch out for: neighboring Majestic Colonial construction; uneven food and maintenance feedback; walking distances across the resort

• Location: Beachfront in the Bávaro area; the hotel puts Punta Cana airport approximately 26 km away.

• Rooms: Generously sized suites with jetted tubs; some guests flag mustiness or maintenance needs.

• Cleanliness: A consistent strength across Booking.com and recent Expedia reviews.

• Service: Friendly, attentive staff are the most consistent highlight across guest sources.

• Amenities: Seven restaurants, multiple pools, gym and entertainment; Elegance Club facilities are reserved for adults 18+.

• Fees and surprises: Spa treatments and late checkout cost extra; check neighboring construction status and restaurant dress codes.
