Axel's take: 8.9/10

A strong couples’ resort, with standout service and a beach that needs seasonal caution. a luxury adults-only beachfront all-inclusive, scored for what it is.

Hyatt Zilara Cap Cana is a luxury adults-only all-inclusive on Juanillo Beach, and we'd shortlist it for couples who prioritize attentive service, comfortable suites and generous pool time. Recent Tripadvisor and Expedia guests repeatedly praise the staff, cleanliness and well-kept grounds. Food earns plenty of compliments, although independent trip reports are less uniformly impressed. The broad dining choice, substantial fitness facilities and water park make this more than a beach-and-buffet stay.

The biggest caveat is the sea: seasonal sargassum can make swimming unpleasant, even when the pools remain excellent. An August 2026 Tripadvisor guest also reported balcony scaffolding and poorly communicated construction; confirm whether work affects your room before booking. Club access and some experiences cost extra, so all-inclusive doesn't mean everything. We'd skip it for guaranteed sea swimming or a small, intimate hotel atmosphere.

• Best for: couples wanting attentive all-inclusive service; honeymooners who enjoy pool days; adults who want fitness facilities and dining choice

• Watch out for: seasonal sargassum affecting sea swimming; confirm status of reported balcony construction; Club upgrades and some experiences cost extra

• Location: On Juanillo Beach in gated Cap Cana; better for resort days than exploring on foot.

• Rooms: Modern, spacious suites with terraces; choose the view category carefully.

• Cleanliness: A consistent strength across recent reviews, despite occasional housekeeping misses.

• Service: Warm, attentive staff are the clearest recurring highlight.

• Amenities: Beachfront pools, a substantial gym, water park, multiple restaurants and Larimar Spa.

• Fees and surprises: Some experiences carry supplements; verify construction status and Club inclusions before booking.
