#5 of 9 hotels in Vinohrady & Žižkov by Axel's take. Vinohrady & Žižkov is #4 of 9 places to stay in Prague. The best hotels in Vinohrady & Žižkov, ranked · Where to stay in Prague

Axel's take: 8.1/10

Theatrino delivers character and good value, but summer heat is its weak spot. a traditional 4-star in a converted Žižkov theatre, scored for what it is.

Theatrino is a traditional 4-star in a converted Žižkov theatre, and we'd pick it for character and value rather than polished interiors. The former auditorium makes breakfast memorable, while Tripadvisor, Booking.com and Expedia guests repeatedly praise the generous buffet, helpful staff and generally clean rooms. Nearby trams make sightseeing straightforward, with neighborhood restaurants offering alternatives to the tourist center.

The bedrooms are less impressive than the public spaces: dated furnishings and variable room sizes recur in reviews. More importantly, summer guests report hot rooms without air-conditioning; don't assume cooling is available without written confirmation. We'd skip it for a hot-weather stay if you're heat-sensitive, or if you expect contemporary four-star polish. For travelers happy to use the tram and prioritize breakfast and friendly service, it's a strong pick.

Best for: value-minded couples; travelers who enjoy historic buildings; sightseers comfortable using trams
Watch out for: hot rooms without air-conditioning; dated furnishings and variable room sizes; outside the main tourist center
Location: Žižkov neighborhood setting, about a minute from Lipanská tram stop.
Rooms: Generally comfortable, but sizes vary and guests report dated decor; confirm cooling before booking.
Cleanliness: Strong overall cleanliness feedback outweighs occasional reports of stains or maintenance lapses.
Service: Helpful, welcoming reception staff are one of the most consistent positives across sites.
Amenities: Theatre breakfast hall, free Wi-Fi and a private sauna available for an extra charge.
Fees and surprises: Check breakfast inclusion; sauna and transfers cost extra, and secure parking is off-site.
