Axel's take: 8.6/10

A strong Prague sightseeing base, with dependable comfort and a standout breakfast. a traditional 4-star city hotel near Wenceslas Square, scored for what it is.

Majestic Plaza is a traditional 4-star in two connected historic buildings near Wenceslas Square. We'd choose it for a comfortable, well-located city break rather than contemporary design or resort-style facilities. Tripadvisor, Booking.com and Expedia guests consistently praise clean rooms, comfortable beds, helpful staff and the generous breakfast buffet. Its Art Deco and Biedermeier interiors give it character without making it an ultra-luxury stay.

The main compromise is breakfast crowding: several Tripadvisor guests describe tight seating, although the hotel has two dining rooms. Air-conditioning operates seasonally, and the spa is a separately charged beer-bath experience, not a swimming pool. A September 2026 guest also reported construction equipment outside their window; ask about current works and room outlook. We'd skip it if a pool or guaranteed year-round cooling matters most.

• Best for: couples on a sightseeing break; travelers who favor traditional interiors; breakfast enthusiasts

• Watch out for: breakfast seating can get crowded; seasonal air-conditioning; confirm current works and room outlook

• Location: Near Wenceslas Square, with Old Town Square roughly a 15–20-minute walk away.

• Rooms: Traditional furnishings and well-reviewed beds; the hotel confirms summer-only air-conditioning.

• Cleanliness: A consistent strength across Booking.com, Expedia and recent Tripadvisor reviews.

• Service: Reception and housekeeping receive broad praise for helpful, friendly service.

• Amenities: Restaurants, lobby bar and free Wi-Fi; beer spa and massages cost extra, and there is no pool.

• Fees and surprises: City tax is paid separately; paid garage parking requires advance booking and has strict vehicle-size limits.
