#9 of 9 hotels in Smíchov & Anděl by Axel's take. Smíchov & Anděl is #6 of 9 places to stay in Prague. The best hotels in Smíchov & Anděl, ranked · Where to stay in Prague

Axel's take: 8.0/10

Atos is good value for sightseeing, but choose your room carefully. a straightforward 3-star near Prague’s Lesser Town and Újezd trams, scored for what it is.

Hotel Atos is a straightforward 3-star near Lesser Town, and a strong pick for travelers who prioritize location and value over stylish interiors. Booking.com and Expedia guests repeatedly praise clean, comfortable rooms, helpful reception staff and the included buffet breakfast. Nearby Újezd trams make getting around easy, while Charles Bridge is within walking distance.

Room choice matters here. The official website lists portable fans rather than air-conditioning in its standard categories; Expedia separately sells an air-conditioned room type, so book that explicitly for summer. Guests also report dark lower-level “without view” rooms and noise around them. Several reviews across 2025–2026 mention lift breakdowns: confirm it is working if stairs are a problem. We'd skip it if guaranteed cooling, step-free access or contemporary rooms are priorities.

  • Best for: value-minded sightseeing couples; families wanting shared rooms; travelers exploring by tram and on foot

  • Watch out for: air-conditioning depends on room type; dark lower-level rooms without views; repeated reports of lift breakdowns

  • Location: Near Újezd trams, neighborhood restaurants and the river; Charles Bridge is walkable.

  • Rooms: Simple rooms with mini-fridges and safes; confirm cooling, floor and outlook before booking.

  • Cleanliness: Generally praised across major sites, though some lower-level rooms receive poorer reports.

  • Service: Mostly welcoming and helpful; handling of maintenance problems gets mixed feedback.

  • Amenities: Included buffet breakfast, free Wi-Fi, 24-hour reception and luggage storage.

  • Fees and surprises: Garage parking is off-site and charged; pets also incur a fee.
