#1 of 9 hotels in Vyšehrad & Congress Centre by Axel's take. Vyšehrad & Congress Centre is #8 of 9 places to stay in Prague. The best hotels in Vyšehrad & Congress Centre, ranked · Where to stay in Prague

Axel's take: 9.0/10

Excellent four-star comfort and service, provided you don't need an Old Town doorstep. A contemporary 4-star hotel in a former printing house near the Vltava, scored for what it is.

Hermitage is a contemporary four-star in a converted 1907 printing house, and we'd put it among Prague's strongest picks for dependable comfort. Behind the Art Nouveau façade, the appeal is practical: comfortable rooms, unusually consistent cleanliness and genuinely helpful staff. Recent Tripadvisor and Expedia guests repeatedly praise those basics and the generous breakfast; Booking.com's strong overall ratings reinforce the picture. The rooftop gym adds something useful beyond the usual city-hotel essentials.

The main compromise is location: you're near the river and Vyšehrad rather than in the Old Town sightseeing core. Nearby trams make that manageable, and many guests prefer the quieter setting. Parking costs extra, and breakfast isn't included in every booking. We'd choose it for a comfortable base away from the busiest streets; skip it if doorstep sightseeing matters most.

  • Best for: Couples wanting a quieter city base; Sightseers happy to use trams; Travelers prioritizing cleanliness and service

  • Watch out for: Outside the Old Town sightseeing core; Paid parking; Breakfast inclusion varies by booking

  • Location: Near the Vltava and Vyšehrad, with convenient trams into the sightseeing center.

  • Rooms: Contemporary, comfortable rooms; recent guests frequently praise beds and room condition.

  • Cleanliness: A standout strength across Booking.com, Tripadvisor and recent Expedia reviews.

  • Service: Friendly, professional and helpful staff are a particularly consistent theme.

  • Amenities: Rooftop gym with terrace, restaurant, bar and a widely praised breakfast buffet.

  • Fees and surprises: Parking and some breakfast bookings cost extra; Expedia also lists a city tax payable at the property.
