#9 of 9 hotels in Vyšehrad & Congress Centre by Axel's take. Vyšehrad & Congress Centre is #8 of 9 places to stay in Prague. The best hotels in Vyšehrad & Congress Centre, ranked · Where to stay in Prague

Axel's take: 6.2/10

Useful tram connections, but uneven housekeeping makes this a budget compromise. a basic 3-star budget hotel in Prague's Nusle district, scored for what it is.

Gallery Hotel SIS is a basic 3-star in Nusle, better suited to keeping costs down than enjoying the hotel itself. Nearby tram and rail connections make sightseeing practical, though you are outside the historic center. Some recent Expedia guests praise clean rooms, helpful staff and value; overall ratings on Booking.com and Expedia suggest a mixed rather than uniformly bad experience.

The concern is consistency. Across recent Tripadvisor and Expedia reviews, stained bedding, worn furnishings, broken bathroom fittings and noise recur often enough to matter, even at this level. Some room categories share bathrooms, so check your booking carefully. Guests also report that the advertised spa and pool are unavailable; don't book for those facilities. We'd consider it only for a short, budget-first stay, and skip it if dependable cleanliness or quiet sleep matters most.

  • Best for: travelers prioritizing low costs; short stays using public transport

  • Watch out for: Recurring housekeeping and maintenance complaints; Shared bathrooms in some room categories; Noise and reported unavailable spa facilities

  • Location: Outside the historic center, with Horky tram stop and Praha-Vršovice station nearby.

  • Rooms: Basic and unevenly maintained; private and shared-bathroom categories require careful selection.

  • Cleanliness: Some guests find rooms clean, but stained linen and inadequate cleaning recur across sites.

  • Service: Helpful staff earn praise, while other guests describe indifferent complaint handling.

  • Amenities: Wi-Fi and buffet breakfast are listed; guests report unavailable spa and pool facilities.

  • Fees and surprises: Booking.com lists a refundable cash deposit; breakfast inclusion varies, parking may cost extra, and checkout is at 10 a.m.
