#5 of 9 hotels in Karlín by Axel's take. Karlín is #5 of 9 places to stay in Prague. The best hotels in Karlín, ranked · Where to stay in Prague

Axel's take: 8.2/10

A dependable budget base with strong transport links and a few basic-hotel compromises. A no-frills 2-star hotel near Florenc station, scored for what it is.

B&B Hotel Prague City is a no-frills 2-star in Karlín, a short walk from Florenc’s metro, trams and intercity buses. It’s a strong pick for a short sightseeing trip: Booking.com and Expedia guests consistently praise cleanliness, comfortable beds and convenient transport, while recent reviews generally describe helpful staff. You’re outside the Old Town’s prettiest streets, but close enough to walk in or take public transport. The hotel says breakfast is included in all rates.

The compromises are mostly predictable: compact, simply furnished rooms and a breakfast buffet that some guests find limited; Tripadvisor reviewers also describe crowding at busy times. Several guests report overly warm rooms despite advertised air conditioning. Underground parking is limited and can be tight, so reserve ahead. We’d skip it if spacious rooms, elaborate breakfasts or an Old Town doorstep matter more than straightforward value.

Best for: Budget-conscious sightseeing couples; Short stays using public transport; Travelers arriving at Florenc bus station
Watch out for: Compact rooms and occasional temperature complaints; Basic breakfast with busy periods; Limited, tight underground parking
Location: Karlín base near Florenc metro, trams and buses; Old Town is reachable on foot.
Rooms: Simple private rooms with showers and air conditioning; space and temperature control draw some complaints.
Cleanliness: A consistent strength across guest sites; automatic cleaning is every three nights, with extra cleaning available on request.
Service: Generally praised as helpful and efficient, with some less welcoming experiences; reception operates around the clock.
Amenities: Free Wi-Fi, lift, vending machines and breakfast; the official site says breakfast is included in all rates.
Fees and surprises: Pets cost extra, city tax applies, and parking should not be assumed free; reserve a garage space ahead.
