#1 of 7 hotels in Bonfim by Axel's take. Bonfim is #6 of 8 places to stay in Porto. The best hotels in Bonfim, ranked · Where to stay in Porto

Axel's take: 9.0/10

Excellent comfort and service, provided you don’t need Porto’s sights on your doorstep. a modern 4-star near Campanhã station, scored for what it is.

OCA Oriental Porto is a modern 4-star in Bonfim, near Campanhã station, and a strong pick for travelers who put room comfort ahead of a central address. Behind the blue-tiled facade are spacious rooms and a garden patio. Tripadvisor, Booking.com and Expedia guests consistently praise cleanliness, comfortable beds and helpful staff; breakfast also earns plenty of approval. It delivers particularly well on the basics that matter for a city stay.

The main compromise is location: expect roughly 25–30 minutes on foot to central sights, or use the nearby metro. The surrounding streets offer less postcard charm than downtown Porto. Parking is paid and subject to availability, so confirm arrangements before driving. We’d choose it for rail connections and comfortable downtime, but skip it if spontaneous sightseeing from the doorstep is your priority.

  • Best for: travelers using Campanhã station; couples prioritizing room comfort; city visitors happy to use the metro

  • Watch out for: outside the main sightseeing core; limited paid parking

  • Location: Near Campanhã and Heroísmo metro; guests repeatedly flag the walk to central attractions.

  • Rooms: Spacious, modern rooms with comfortable beds and good showers; balcony categories are available.

  • Cleanliness: A standout strength across sources, including Booking.com’s 9.5 cleanliness rating.

  • Service: Recent guests repeatedly praise friendly, helpful reception and breakfast staff.

  • Amenities: Restaurant, bar, garden patio, gym and buffet breakfast; check whether breakfast is included.

  • Fees and surprises: City tax applies; parking and dog-friendly rooms cost extra, with limited availability. Confirm parking directly.
