Pocono Inn & Banquet is a budget roadside hotel in Delaware Water Gap, not downtown Stroudsburg. We'd consider it for a short, practical stay near I-80 and the recreation area. Recent Expedia guests repeatedly praise spacious, clean rooms, comfortable beds and helpful staff; a September 2025 Tripadvisor guest reports much the same. Free parking, guest laundry, an indoor pool and a small gym make it more useful than a bare-bones overnight stop.
The catch is consistency. Some guests describe refreshed rooms, while others still find dated interiors and maintenance shortcomings. Booking.com's overall feedback is respectable rather than outstanding, and Tripadvisor's much weaker historical record warrants caution without outweighing newer praise. We'd skip it for a polished romantic getaway. Request a refreshed room, and arrange ground-floor accommodation if stairs are a problem: upper floors have no elevator access.
