#5 of 7 hotels in Kvadraturen by Axel's take. Kvadraturen is #3 of 12 places to stay in Oslo. The best hotels in Kvadraturen, ranked · Where to stay in Oslo

Axel's take: 7.9/10

A practical Oslo base with excellent transport links, but compact rooms and limited housekeeping. a no-frills 3-star near Oslo Central Station, scored for what it is.

Comfort Hotel Børsparken is a no-frills 3-star that makes sense for a short Oslo break: near Central Station, the Opera House and the waterfront, without charging you for luxury it doesn't offer. Recent Tripadvisor and Expedia guests repeatedly praise the helpful staff, cleanliness and generous breakfast buffet. The unusually large, round-the-clock gym and shared eighth-floor balcony are useful extras for this class.

The compromise is upstairs. Standard rooms are compact, storage is limited, and some guests report noise or uncomfortable temperatures. The hotel specifies cleaning every fourth day, so don't expect daily servicing. Breakfast isn't included with every booking, either. We'd pick it for sightseeing and convenient train connections, but skip it if you want spacious rooms, plenty of unpacking space or full-service hotel comforts.

  • Best for: short sightseeing breaks; travelers arriving by train; budget-conscious gym users

  • Watch out for: compact rooms with limited storage; cleaning every fourth day; breakfast not always included

  • Location: A short walk from Oslo Central Station, the Opera House and waterfront attractions.

  • Rooms: Standard doubles are 12–18 square meters; limited storage and some reports of noise or warmth.

  • Cleanliness: Generally praised across recent reviews; scheduled room cleaning is every fourth day.

  • Service: Friendly, helpful reception staff are a consistent strength in recent guest feedback.

  • Amenities: Large 24-hour gym, shared eighth-floor balcony, lobby bar and snack deli.

  • Fees and surprises: Check breakfast inclusion; no on-site parking and no daily room cleaning as standard.
