Axel's take: 8.4/10

A strong family resort if you'll use the pools and accept the extras. a sprawling 4-star convention resort near Disney with a substantial waterpark, scored for what it is.

Orlando World Center Marriott is a sprawling 4-star convention resort that makes most sense when pool time matters as much as park time. We'd pick it for families who will actually use the lagoon pool, waterslides and lazy river, rather than simply sleep here between Disney visits. Recent Expedia and Booking.com guests repeatedly praise clean, comfortable rooms, helpful staff and enough activities to fill a resort day. Golf, a spa and multiple restaurants broaden the appeal.

The trade-offs are scale and spending: self-parking is a trek, dining is expensive, and a mandatory resort fee comes on top of parking charges. Tripadvisor feedback also points to uneven service and noise, although the overall guest picture remains positive. Disney shuttles are included in the resort fee, but this isn't a walk-to-the-parks base. We'd skip it for a quiet couples' escape or a parks-only trip.

• Best for: families planning waterpark days; conference guests bringing family; Disney visitors wanting a full-service resort

• Watch out for: mandatory resort fee and separate parking charges; distant self-parking and a sprawling layout; busy atmosphere and some noise complaints

• Location: Near Disney with resort-fee-included shuttles; not a walk-to-the-parks location.

• Rooms: Comfortable rooms with mini-fridges; some guests flag noise and maintenance issues.

• Cleanliness: Strong overall, with repeated recent praise on Expedia and Booking.com.

• Service: Helpful staff earn frequent praise, though Tripadvisor reports less consistent problem handling.

• Amenities: Waterpark, lagoon pool, golf, spa, gym and multiple restaurants; major slides require riders to be at least 48 inches tall.

• Fees and surprises: Mandatory nightly resort fee, paid parking and costly dining; ballroom renovation was completed in 2026.
