Axel's take: 8.5/10

A comfortable airport stop with a better pool setting than most A full-service 4-star airport hotel with lakeside grounds, scored for what it is.

This full-service 4-star airport hotel is a strong pick for an overnight near MCO, with enough beyond the basics to make a longer stop comfortable. Expedia and Trip.com guests repeatedly praise helpful staff, comfortable rooms and airport convenience; recent Expedia reviews are especially positive about cleanliness and beds. The lakeside seating and substantial outdoor pool give it more breathing room than a typical airport hotel, while an indoor pool adds flexibility.

The trade-offs are mostly practical: parking and breakfast cost extra, and complimentary in-room Wi-Fi is conditional rather than universal. Marriott says to call for airport pickup after collecting your luggage. We'd choose it for an early flight, business visit or pre-cruise overnight, but skip it for a theme-park-focused holiday where the daily driving would outweigh the airport convenience.

• Best for: Early flights and airport stopovers; Pre-cruise overnight stays; Business travelers wanting pool downtime

• Watch out for: Paid parking and breakfast; Complimentary in-room Wi-Fi has conditions; Call the hotel for airport pickup

• Location: About 2.2 miles from MCO, beside a lake; better for airport access than theme-park touring.

• Rooms: Comfortable beds and quiet rooms earn recent praise; Marriott lists soundproof windows and smart TVs.

• Cleanliness: Strong overall feedback, with occasional housekeeping misses rather than a dominant pattern.

• Service: Friendly, helpful staff are a consistent strength across Expedia and Trip.com reviews.

• Amenities: Indoor and outdoor pools, a fitness center, dining and a complimentary airport shuttle.

• Fees and surprises: Parking and breakfast are extra; Marriott guarantees free in-room Wi-Fi for Bonvoy members booking direct.
