Axel's take: 8.0/10

A practical airport stop with friendly service, but rooms lag behind the lobby. a full-service mid-range airport hotel, scored for what it is.

This full-service mid-range airport hotel is a strong pick for an overnight before or after flying through MCO. Recent Tripadvisor and Expedia guests repeatedly praise helpful staff, clean rooms and comfortable beds. The hotel advertises a free 24-hour airport shuttle, while an outdoor pool, gym and Drift restaurant give you more options than a basic overnight stop. Nearby restaurants are another useful convenience.

The polished lobby sets expectations the bedrooms do not always match: recent guests still describe some rooms as dated. Agoda and Trip.com reviews also flag noise, including late-night corridor activity, so light sleepers should request a room away from elevators. Parking costs extra, breakfast is not automatically included, and microwaves are shared on guest floors. We'd choose it for airport convenience rather than a longer Orlando vacation.

• Best for: overnight airport stays; early departures and late arrivals; business travelers wanting on-site dining

• Watch out for: some dated rooms; potential nighttime noise; parking and breakfast cost extra

• Location: Convenient for MCO, with several restaurants within walking distance; less compelling for a theme-park-focused stay.

• Rooms: Comfortable beds and mini-fridges, but some dated interiors; microwaves are shared on guest floors.

• Cleanliness: Recent Tripadvisor and Expedia feedback is predominantly positive about room cleanliness.

• Service: Friendly, helpful staff are a recurring strength across recent guest reviews.

• Amenities: Free 24-hour airport shuttle, outdoor pool, gym, restaurant, bar and Wi-Fi.

• Fees and surprises: Paid parking, breakfast unless included in your booking, and pet fees; IHG lists limited housekeeping.
