Axel's take: 7.8/10

A good Disney base with friendly staff, but uneven upkeep and extra fees. a practical 4-star near Disney, with mid-range comfort, scored for what it is.

This is a practical 4-star near Disney that works better as a theme-park base than a resort destination. We'd consider it for comfortable nights, nearby restaurants and a pool with a waterslide between park visits. Recent Expedia and Tripadvisor guests repeatedly praise helpful staff and clean rooms; Trip.com guests also highlight the convenient location. Overall, it's a good pick if you prioritize convenience over polish.

The trade-off is uneven upkeep. Recent reviews describe aging bathrooms, drainage problems and worn areas despite cosmetic updates, so don't expect a consistently upscale Crowne Plaza experience. There's a nightly resort fee, parking costs extra, and breakfast isn't automatically included. Confirm shuttle schedules and drop-off points before planning around them. We'd skip it for a pampering resort break or if dependable, flexible park transportation is essential.

• Best for: value-minded Disney visitors; families wanting a pool and waterslide; travelers who like restaurants within walking distance

• Watch out for: resort fee and separate parking charges; uneven bathroom maintenance and dated areas; scheduled shuttles need advance checking

• Location: Convenient for Disney and Disney Springs, with several restaurants within walking distance.

• Rooms: Often described as spacious and comfortable, but bathroom condition and maintenance vary.

• Cleanliness: Recent feedback is mostly positive, though occasional odor and linen complaints remain.

• Service: Friendly, helpful staff are a recurring strength across several review sites.

• Amenities: Outdoor pool with waterslide, gym, restaurant and scheduled theme-park transportation.

• Fees and surprises: Nightly resort fee, separate paid parking and breakfast charges unless included in your booking.
