#2 of 9 hotels in Old Town & Highway 192 by Axel's take. Old Town & Highway 192 is #8 of 12 places to stay in Orlando. The best hotels in Old Town & Highway 192, ranked · Where to stay in Orlando

Axel's take: 8.5/10

A strong family base for space and self-catering, with timeshare sales pressure to sidestep. A mid-range timeshare apartment resort in Kissimmee, scored for what it is.

Club Wyndham Cypress Palms is a mid-range timeshare apartment resort, not a full-service hotel. It's a strong pick for families who want practical comforts between park days: separate living areas, kitchen or kitchenette options, and in-suite laundry. Expedia and Booking.com guests consistently praise cleanliness, helpful staff and comfortable accommodation. Two heated outdoor pools and nearby restaurants add to the appeal; we'd choose it for a longer, self-catering stay rather than a pampered resort break.

The clearest drawback is the timeshare pitch: Tripadvisor guests repeatedly describe pressure to attend sales presentations. Some also report noise between units and dated furnishings, though recent feedback remains strongly positive overall. Check the exact suite category, since size and cooking facilities vary considerably. We'd skip it if you want hotel-style dining, polished luxury or a park trip without relying on driving or rideshares.

  • Best for: Families visiting the theme parks; Longer self-catering stays; Travelers prioritizing apartment-style space

  • Watch out for: Timeshare sales invitations; Noise between some units; Suite sizes and kitchen facilities vary

  • Location: Kissimmee base with restaurants within walking distance; a car is recommended for wider exploring.

  • Rooms: One- and two-bedroom suites with laundry; confirm whether your category has a partial or full kitchen.

  • Cleanliness: A consistent strength across Booking.com and recent Expedia reviews, despite occasional exceptions.

  • Service: Staff friendliness earns frequent praise; timeshare sales pressure is a separate recurring complaint.

  • Amenities: Two heated outdoor pools, two hot tubs, fitness facilities, barbecue areas and children's activities.

  • Fees and surprises: Free self-parking; refundable card deposit, paid Wi-Fi upgrades and 10 a.m. checkout; no current official resort alerts.
