Axel's take: 8.8/10

A strong downtown base with spacious rooms and genuinely helpful staff. A modern, select-service 3-star in downtown Orlando, scored for what it is.

This modern, select-service 3-star is a strong pick for downtown Orlando, especially for shows at Dr. Phillips Center or events at Kia Center. Recent Expedia and Tripadvisor guests repeatedly praise clean, spacious rooms and friendly staff, with particularly warm feedback for the valet team. The lively lobby and W XYZ bar give it more personality than a basic business hotel, while an outdoor pool and gym cover the essentials.

The compromises are straightforward: on-site parking is paid valet, breakfast costs extra, and dining is more casual than comprehensive. Some guests report traffic or air-conditioning noise, although others describe quiet rooms; light sleepers should request a quieter location rather than assume a high floor solves it. We'd choose it for a downtown weekend or work trip, not a resort-style theme-park vacation.

• Best for: Theater and concert weekends; Downtown business travelers; Travelers bringing pets

• Watch out for: Paid valet parking; Breakfast not included; Possible traffic or air-conditioning noise

• Location: Across from Dr. Phillips Center and walkable to Kia Center; best suited to downtown plans.

• Rooms: Guests regularly praise spacious layouts and comfortable beds; some report noise.

• Cleanliness: A consistent strength across recent guest feedback and major booking-site ratings.

• Service: Friendly, helpful staff earn repeated praise, including front-desk, bar and valet teams.

• Amenities: Outdoor pool, gym, W XYZ bar and casual dining; not a full-service resort.

• Fees and surprises: On-site valet parking and breakfast cost extra; the documented major renovation finished in 2022.
