Axel's take: 6.8/10

A workable budget stop for drivers, with helpful staff but uneven upkeep. a no-frills 2-star motel off I-10 in New Orleans East, scored for what it is.

This no-frills 2-star motel in New Orleans East makes most sense for budget travelers with a car. Free parking and continental breakfast help keep things practical, and helpful staff are its clearest strength across Expedia and Tripadvisor. Overall guest ratings suggest a serviceable rather than standout stay; we'd consider it for a short, inexpensive stop, not a trip built around the hotel.

The trade-offs are dated rooms, mixed housekeeping reports and a location that requires driving or rideshares to the French Quarter. Recent Expedia guests include both clean-room praise and complaints about odors and maintenance. Agoda currently lists the pool and gym as closed for renovation, despite Wyndham advertising both; confirm reopening directly. We'd skip it for a walkable sightseeing base or if reliable leisure facilities matter.

• Best for: budget travelers with a car; short road-trip stops

• Watch out for: pool and gym listed closed for renovation; dated rooms and uneven housekeeping; not a walkable French Quarter base

• Location: Near I-10 in New Orleans East; plan on driving or rideshares for central attractions.

• Rooms: Basic rooms with refrigerators and coffee makers; age, odors and maintenance draw some complaints.

• Cleanliness: Many guests report clean rooms, but recent feedback is inconsistent rather than reassuringly uniform.

• Service: Helpful front-desk staff receive repeated praise, though service is not universally consistent.

• Amenities: Continental breakfast included; Agoda lists pool and gym renovation closures that conflict with Wyndham's amenities.

• Fees and surprises: Wyndham describes free parking as limited; Expedia lists charges for early check-in and late checkout.
