Axel's take: 8.2/10

A strong family base for space and convenience, with costly parking. a practical 3-star all-suite hotel in the Central Business District, scored for what it is.

This 3-star all-suite hotel on Poydras Street is a strong pick for families and longer stays, putting practical comforts ahead of boutique character. Separate living areas, full kitchens and included hot breakfast make the setup useful, while the Superdome and French Quarter are walkable. Recent Expedia guests repeatedly praise clean, spacious rooms and welcoming staff; Tripadvisor feedback is more mixed but reinforces the appeal of the location and suite layouts.

The clearest drawback is expensive valet parking, with no hotel self-parking. Some street-facing suites pick up traffic noise, and occasional housekeeping and maintenance complaints mean consistency is not flawless. The indoor pool and gym round out a good package for its class. We'd skip it for a characterful French Quarter stay, but choose it for room to spread out.

• Best for: families needing separate living space; longer stays with kitchen access; Superdome event trips

• Watch out for: expensive valet parking; traffic noise in street-facing suites; occasional housekeeping and maintenance lapses

• Location: Walkable CBD base for the Superdome, French Quarter and nearby streetcars.

• Rooms: Spacious suites with kitchens and separate living areas; street-facing rooms can hear traffic.

• Cleanliness: Recent Expedia feedback is strongly positive, though Tripadvisor includes some housekeeping lapses.

• Service: Friendly, helpful staff are a recurring strength, with some less consistent experiences.

• Amenities: Included hot breakfast, indoor pool, fitness center and free Wi-Fi.

• Fees and surprises: Valet parking costs extra; no hotel self-parking, and pets incur a nonrefundable fee.
