Axel's take: 8.1/10

A solid West Bank base for drivers, less suited to car-free sightseeing. a practical 3-star tower hotel on New Orleans’ West Bank, scored for what it is.

This 3-star tower on New Orleans’ West Bank is a strong pick for travelers who prioritize comfortable basics and parking over a downtown address. Expedia and Trip.com guests generally praise clean rooms, comfortable beds and welcoming staff, while Booking.com’s overall ratings reinforce that positive picture. It makes particular sense for drivers and a night before a cruise.

The trade-off is being across the river from the main sights: plan on driving or rideshares rather than walking into the French Quarter. Some guests mention road noise, noisy air-conditioning and uneven maintenance, though these do not dominate the feedback. Breakfast is not automatically included. We’d skip it for a car-free nightlife trip or if quiet, freshly finished rooms matter more than practical convenience.

• Best for: drivers exploring New Orleans; pre-cruise overnight stays; West Bank business trips

• Watch out for: transport needed for downtown sightseeing; some road and air-conditioning noise; breakfast inclusion depends on booking

• Location: Off US-90 across the river from downtown; convenient by car rather than on foot.

• Rooms: Comfortable beds and useful mini-fridges; some guests report aging fittings and noisy air-conditioning.

• Cleanliness: Generally a strength across booking sites, with occasional housekeeping lapses rather than a dominant negative pattern.

• Service: Friendly, helpful staff receive repeated praise; recent guests also describe prompt fixes to room problems.

• Amenities: Outdoor pool, gym, free Wi-Fi and Round House Bar & Grill provide useful full-service basics.

• Fees and surprises: Guest parking is complimentary; check breakfast inclusion and confirm cruise parking and shuttle charges directly.
