8.5/10
A strong-value beach base with welcoming staff, spacious apartments and some worn edges.
Marambaia is a simple 3-star apartment hotel one block from Ponta Negra Beach, and it's a strong pick for travelers who want space rather than polish. Booking.com and Expedia guests consistently praise the welcoming staff, roomy apartments and convenient location. Kitchens, balconies and an outdoor pool make it practical for longer stays; sea-view rooms add appeal. Recent guests particularly appreciate breakfast's freshly prepared tapiocas and omelets, while cleanliness feedback is largely positive.
The trade-offs are straightforward: there's no elevator, and several guests flag tired furniture or kitchen appliances needing attention. Recent reviews also describe early-morning noise in rooms near the breakfast kitchen, so request a room away from that area if you sleep lightly. We'd skip it if stairs are difficult or you expect contemporary, uniformly maintained interiors; otherwise, it delivers good value for a relaxed beach trip.

Rooms: Spacious, air-conditioned apartments with kitchens and balconies; some furnishings and appliances show wear.
Cleanliness: Mostly strong feedback across sites, with occasional recent housekeeping complaints.
