#6 of 9 hotels in Piazza Garibaldi & Central Station by Axel's take. Piazza Garibaldi & Central Station is #7 of 7 places to stay in Naples. The best hotels in Piazza Garibaldi & Central Station, ranked · Where to stay in Naples

Axel's take: 7.6/10

A useful station base, but convenience outshines the four-star comforts. a practical 4-star business hotel connected to Napoli Centrale, scored for what it is.

Stelle is a practical 4-star business hotel connected to Napoli Centrale through a shopping passage, making it a strong pick for early trains and short stopovers. We'd choose it for convenience rather than character. Recent Expedia and Trip.com guests repeatedly praise clean rooms and helpful reception staff, and the generally positive ratings support that picture.

The four-star polish is less consistent: recent guests mention tired fittings, unreliable or reception-controlled air conditioning, and breakfast that often feels basic. Some also report sound carrying between rooms. Several travelers find the surrounding streets uncomfortable after dark, although experiences differ; this is a transport-first location, not a picturesque evening neighborhood. We'd skip it for a romantic Naples break or if dependable cooling and quiet are priorities.

  • Best for: early trains and overnight stopovers; rail-based sightseeing trips; business travelers prioritizing transport

  • Watch out for: inconsistent air conditioning; basic breakfast and some room noise; station-area streets can feel uncomfortable at night

  • Location: Direct station access is the standout; less appealing for evening strolling.

  • Rooms: Functional rooms, with recurring reports of aging fittings, cooling issues and imperfect soundproofing.

  • Cleanliness: Generally a strength, with repeated recent praise for clean rooms and housekeeping.

  • Service: Reception is often praised; warmth and breakfast service vary by shift.

  • Amenities: Café/bar, restaurant, free Wi-Fi and paid covered parking; guests report uneven Wi-Fi reliability.

  • Fees and surprises: Budget for city tax and parking; the official site allows pets by prior arrangement with an extra cleaning charge, despite conflicting booking-site policies.
