#3 of 9 hotels in Piazza Municipio & Port by Axel's take. Piazza Municipio & Port is #3 of 7 places to stay in Naples. The best hotels in Piazza Municipio & Port, ranked · Where to stay in Naples

Axel's take: 8.4/10

Strong service, serious dining and rooftop views outweigh an unromantic port setting. a contemporary 5-star luxury hotel beside Naples’ working port, scored for what it is.

Romeo Napoli is a contemporary 5-star luxury hotel beside the working port, strongest for travelers who want modern design rather than grand-hotel tradition. We'd pick it for its art-filled interiors, rooftop pools, Sisley spa and Alain Ducasse restaurant. Recent Tripadvisor and Expedia guests repeatedly praise attentive staff, comfortable rooms, cleanliness and breakfast with Vesuvius views. It delivers plenty beyond a convenient overnight before the islands.

The compromise is the setting: ferries are handy, but port infrastructure shares those sea views, and the immediate surroundings aren't Naples at its prettiest. Value is also a recurring reservation, particularly for hotel food and drinks. Parking costs extra; confirm spa inclusions before booking. We'd skip it if you want a romantic promenade address or won't use the dining and wellness facilities.

  • Best for: design-minded luxury travelers; couples who prioritize dining and spas; island-hoppers wanting a comfortable city base

  • Watch out for: working-port surroundings and outlook; expensive hotel food and drinks; paid parking and booking-dependent spa inclusions

  • Location: Convenient for ferries and city sightseeing, but the immediate port setting divides guests.

  • Rooms: Contemporary, comfortable rooms earn strong praise; choose the room category and outlook carefully.

  • Cleanliness: A consistent strength across Tripadvisor, Booking.com and Expedia.

  • Service: Recent reviews repeatedly praise helpful reception staff and attentive hospitality.

  • Amenities: Rooftop pools, Sisley spa, gym and Alain Ducasse dining are genuine reasons to stay.

  • Fees and surprises: City tax and parking are extra; verify spa inclusions and restaurant opening days.
