#6 of 6 hotels in Lungomare & Santa Lucia by Axel's take. Lungomare & Santa Lucia is #4 of 7 places to stay in Naples. The best hotels in Lungomare & Santa Lucia, ranked · Where to stay in Naples

Axel's take: 7.2/10

Choose it for the waterfront, not a polished four-star experience. a small, cinema-themed 4-star on Naples’ seafront, scored for what it is.

Partenope Relais is a small, cinema-themed 4-star whose strongest asset is its Naples waterfront setting. It’s a good pick for a short break built around seafront walks, restaurants and a room with a confirmed sea view. Booking.com and Expedia guests repeatedly praise the helpful reception staff and comfortable rooms. Overall ratings remain solid, though this feels more like a compact boutique base than a full-service hotel.

The compromises are uneven upkeep, occasional cleaning lapses and noise: recent Tripadvisor reviews repeatedly describe worn bathrooms and furnishings, while Expedia feedback is more positive but includes similar concerns. Breakfast is served at a separate nearby restaurant and divides opinion; there’s little lobby space. Guests reported hotel renovation and roadwork noise in February–March 2026, so check whether work continues. We’d skip it for reliably polished interiors, quiet nights or extensive facilities.

  • Best for: couples prioritizing waterfront views; short sightseeing breaks; travelers happy with limited shared spaces

  • Watch out for: uneven room upkeep and soundproofing; breakfast outside the hotel; confirm status of previously reported construction

  • Location: On the Lungomare near Castel dell’Ovo, with waterfront restaurants close by.

  • Rooms: Cinema-themed rooms across two buildings; confirm the exact room category and sea view.

  • Cleanliness: Generally positive aggregate scores, but repeated recent complaints flag inconsistent cleaning and bathroom upkeep.

  • Service: Helpful, welcoming reception staff are a recurring strength across Booking.com and Expedia.

  • Amenities: Free Wi-Fi, air conditioning and concierge assistance; breakfast is at a separate nearby restaurant.

  • Fees and surprises: Parking costs extra; confirm breakfast inclusion, building assignment and any continuing hotel or road works.
