#7 of 9 hotels in Piazza Garibaldi & Central Station by Axel's take. Piazza Garibaldi & Central Station is #7 of 7 places to stay in Naples. The best hotels in Piazza Garibaldi & Central Station, ranked · Where to stay in Naples

Axel's take: 7.3/10

A practical station-side base with helpful staff, compact rooms and noise trade-offs. A simple 3-star hotel opposite Naples Centrale, scored for what it is.

Ideal City Walk is a simple 3-star opposite Naples Centrale: a good fit for short stays and train-based exploring rather than a hotel-centered holiday. Booking.com guests strongly favor its location, cleanliness and staff, while recent Expedia reviews also praise the welcome and convenient transport connections. We'd consider it a sensible budget base, though its mixed longer-term ratings suggest keeping expectations practical.

The trade-offs are space and soundproofing. The hotel's own double-room page lists just 12 square meters, and guests on Tripadvisor and Expedia describe noise carrying between rooms or along corridors. Breakfast gets mixed reactions, with plenty of cafés nearby. We'd skip it for a quiet, spacious retreat; travelers needing step-free access should confirm arrangements directly, since guest reports of stairs conflict with booking-site elevator listings.

  • Best for: Short stays before onward trains; Budget-minded city explorers; Day trips by public transport

  • Watch out for: Compact rooms and bathrooms; Noise from neighboring rooms and corridors; Unclear step-free access

  • Location: Opposite Centrale, with metro and airport-bus connections close by; convenience is its main selling point.

  • Rooms: Basic, air-conditioned accommodation; the official double-room page lists 12 square meters, so check your category carefully.

  • Cleanliness: Recent feedback is generally positive, particularly on Booking.com, despite weaker historical ratings elsewhere.

  • Service: Friendly, helpful reception staff are a recurring strength across recent Tripadvisor and Expedia feedback.

  • Amenities: Free Wi-Fi, air conditioning and breakfast are available; breakfast feedback varies.

  • Fees and surprises: Budget for city tax and breakfast unless included; confirm late-arrival arrangements because published reception and check-in details conflict.
