Axel's take: 7.4/10

A practical Juhu base with helpful staff, useful apartments and some dated edges. An older 4-star hotel and serviced-apartment property near Juhu Beach, scored for what it is.

The Emerald is an older 4-star hotel and serviced-apartment property, also marketed as Regenta Place The Emerald. We'd choose it for a practical Juhu stay rather than four-star polish. The beach is a short walk across the road, and studios and apartments offer cooking facilities that make longer visits easier. Tripadvisor and Trip.com guests repeatedly praise the helpful staff; recent reviews also give plenty of credit to clean rooms and the vegetarian restaurant.

The trade-off is uneven upkeep. Guests describe dated furnishings and bathrooms, while standard rooms can feel tight. Several 2026 reviews mention aircraft or extractor-fan noise, and housekeeping and Wi-Fi draw occasional criticism. Breakfast earns more praise than complaints, but isn't consistently impressive. We'd skip it for a pampering beach holiday; families needing apartment space and travelers prioritizing Juhu's location have better reasons to book.

• Best for: Families booking apartments; Longer stays with self-catering; Travelers prioritizing Juhu

• Watch out for: Dated rooms and bathrooms; Aircraft and extractor-fan noise; Compact standard rooms

• Location: A short walk across the road to Juhu Beach, with restaurants and cafés nearby.

• Rooms: Standard rooms are compact; studios have kitchenettes and apartments offer separate living space and kitchens.

• Cleanliness: Mostly positive recent feedback, with some complaints about older linens and kitchen or bathroom cleaning.

• Service: Helpful staff are a recurring strength, though housekeeping response and reception warmth vary.

• Amenities: Vegetarian restaurant, café, free basic Wi-Fi and limited parking; confirm gym availability before booking.

• Fees and surprises: Breakfast inclusion varies; airport transfers and early or late check-in/out cost extra. Adjacent construction was reported in March 2025, but its current status is unverified.
