Axel's take: 8.2/10

Strong on sea views and hospitality, but renovation disruption dents the luxury promise. a large 5-star waterfront hotel in Bandra, scored for what it is.

Taj Lands End is a large 5-star waterfront hotel in Bandra, and we'd choose it for the Arabian Sea views, generous rooms and substantial dining options. Booking.com and Expedia guests consistently praise cleanliness, while recent stay reviews often single out thoughtful staff. It's a strong pick for a Bandra-based visit, with pools, a spa and a round-the-clock gym adding substance beyond the address.

The luxury experience isn't completely consistent. Recent guests across several sites describe breakfast queues, check-in delays and some tired rooms. September 2026 Tripadvisor guests reported intrusive construction noise, and an October Expedia guest also mentioned ongoing renovations; confirm the work schedule and room placement before booking. We'd skip it for a quiet retreat or if immaculate rooms and seamless service are non-negotiable.

• Best for: Bandra-based business and leisure trips; Travelers who prioritize sea views; Families wanting full-service facilities

• Watch out for: Recent renovation and construction disruption; Breakfast queues at busy times; Uneven room condition and service

• Location: Waterfront Bandstand setting in Bandra, overlooking the Arabian Sea and Sea Link.

• Rooms: Spacious and comfortable overall; some recent guests find the interiors tired.

• Cleanliness: A consistent strength across Booking.com and Expedia, with housekeeping frequently praised.

• Service: Warm, attentive staff earn strong praise, but arrival handling and busy-period service vary.

• Amenities: Outdoor and rooftop pools, J Wellness Circle spa, 24-hour gym, three restaurants and three bars.

• Fees and surprises: Breakfast inclusion varies; airport transfers cost extra, and recent renovation reports warrant checking before arrival.
