Axel's take: 8.5/10
Warm service and excellent dining outweigh compact rooms at this South Mumbai five-star. an established five-star city hotel in South Mumbai’s Cuffe Parade, scored for what it is.
President is an established five-star IHCL SeleQtions hotel in Cuffe Parade, and a strong pick for South Mumbai sightseeing or business. Its strongest assets are the people and food: recent Tripadvisor and Expedia guests repeatedly praise attentive staff, thorough housekeeping and breakfast, while Thai Pavilion and Konkan Cafe earn particular enthusiasm. The metro station opposite the entrance adds practical appeal, alongside an outdoor pool, gym and spa.
The compromise is room size and consistency rather than missing facilities. Entry-level rooms are compact for a five-star, and although recent guests describe renovated interiors, some still find rooms dated. Breakfast and restaurant service can get stretched when busy. We’d choose it for hospitality and dining rather than expansive luxury; skip it if generous room space or uniformly fresh interiors are essential.
