Axel's take: 7.7/10

Helpful staff and Khar convenience outweigh dated rooms, but don't expect polish. A simple, independent 3-star hotel near Khar Road station, scored for what it is.

Regal Enclave is a simple 3-star hotel in Khar West, best treated as a practical base rather than the luxurious stay its website suggests. We'd consider it for shopping, local dining and easy access to Khar Road station. Expedia and Tripadvisor guests repeatedly praise helpful staff, clean rooms and breakfast; recent Expedia reviews remain largely positive. It's a good fit if service and location matter more than contemporary interiors.

The trade-off is uneven upkeep: reviews across sites mention tired furnishings, bathroom maintenance and occasional musty rooms, while a recent Tripadvisor guest flags train noise. Guests also reported nearby road repairs into May 2026; check current access before arrival. Airport transfers are advertised as free by the hotel but chargeable on Expedia, so confirm your booking's inclusions. We'd skip it for a reliably quiet, polished stay.

• Best for: Shopping and dining around Khar and Bandra; Short, practical city stays; Travelers prioritizing helpful staff over modern decor

• Watch out for: Dated rooms and uneven bathroom maintenance; Potential train noise; Reported road repairs affecting access

• Location: Convenient for Khar Road station, Linking Road shopping and neighborhood restaurants.

• Rooms: Functional and air-conditioned, but condition varies; some guests report tired furnishings and bathroom faults.

• Cleanliness: Mostly praised on Expedia, though recent reviews elsewhere flag occasional mustiness and cleaning lapses.

• Service: Friendly, responsive staff are the most consistent strength across guest-review sites.

• Amenities: Restaurant, cafe and free Wi-Fi are listed; do not assume the catalog's pool, gym and spa are on-site.

• Fees and surprises: Confirm breakfast and transfer inclusions; listings conflict, and completion of reported road repairs is unverified.
