Axel's take: 6.2/10

A useful Linking Road address, but room quality makes this a cautious pick. a no-frills budget hotel on Linking Road in Khar West, scored for what it is.

Hotel Kings Palace is a no-frills budget hotel in Khar West whose strongest asset is its Linking Road address, handy for shopping and nearby places to eat. We'd consider it for a short, location-first stay rather than a comfortable retreat. Google's broader guest rating is more positive than the small booking-site samples, and some guests praise the staff and clean rooms.

The caution is room consistency. Two Expedia guests reviewing January 2026 stays both reported cigarette smells despite the property's smoke-free listing; one also mentioned low water pressure, while the other questioned cleanliness and room condition. Older MakeMyTrip reviews add mixed housekeeping and service feedback, though those carry less weight. Recent detailed evidence is limited. We'd skip it if smoke sensitivity, dependable cleanliness or step-free access matters: Hotels.com lists no elevator.

• Best for: Linking Road shopping trips; Short, location-first stays

• Watch out for: Smoke smells reported in January 2026 stays; Uneven cleanliness and room condition; No elevator listed by Hotels.com

• Location: Linking Road in Khar West is the clearest selling point, with shopping and food nearby.

• Rooms: Basic air-conditioned rooms; recent feedback flags smoke smells and some maintenance shortcomings.

• Cleanliness: Mixed reports, including a cleanliness concern from a January 2026 guest.

• Service: Some guests praise friendly staff; older MakeMyTrip feedback is less consistent.

• Amenities: Booking sites list free Wi-Fi, room service, luggage storage and a 24-hour reception.

• Fees and surprises: Parking and check-in details conflict across listings; confirm directly, especially for late arrival.
