Axel's take: 6.5/10

Choose it for Juhu Beach, not consistently comfortable rooms. An older, independent 3-star a short walk from Juhu Beach, scored for what it is.

Hotel Ajanta is an older, independent 3-star whose strongest selling point is the short walk to Juhu Beach. We'd consider it for a brief, location-first stay rather than a hotel-centered holiday. Guests on several sites praise courteous staff, and some describe clean, spacious rooms. The restaurant, room service and included breakfast listed by Expedia cover the practical basics.

The catch is consistency. Expedia and Trip.com ratings sit in the mid-sixes, and 2026 ixigo reviews still mention tired rooms and bathroom fittings needing maintenance, alongside happier reports. Cleanliness feedback is divided, and breakfast attracts both praise and complaints. We'd skip it if dependable housekeeping and fresh interiors matter more than the address. Confirm your room category and breakfast inclusion before booking; airport transfers cost extra.

• Best for: Short, location-first stays; Budget-conscious Juhu visitors

• Watch out for: Dated rooms and bathroom fittings; Uneven cleanliness; Mixed breakfast feedback

• Location: A short walk from Juhu Beach; proximity to the beach is the clearest recurring strength.

• Rooms: Some guests find rooms spacious, but upkeep varies and bathroom maintenance remains a concern.

• Cleanliness: Recent reports range from clean and tidy to shabby or unpleasant-smelling rooms.

• Service: Courteous, helpful staff earn repeated praise, though problem handling is less consistent.

• Amenities: Restaurant, bar, free Wi-Fi and 24-hour room service; Expedia lists included buffet breakfast.

• Fees and surprises: Airport transfers and extra beds carry charges; confirm breakfast inclusion and the exact room category.
