Axel's take: 7.0/10

A practical airport overnight, provided you can live with worn rooms and minimal breakfast. a no-frills 2-star airport hotel, scored for what it is.

This no-frills 2-star Wyndham hotel is a reasonable budget pick for a night before or after flying, rather than a base for a Milwaukee vacation. Recent Expedia and Trip.com guests repeatedly praise clean rooms, comfortable beds and helpful staff. The airport location is its strongest asset, backed by a free shuttle running from 4 a.m. to midnight and paid long-term parking.

The trade-off is uneven upkeep: Tripadvisor and Expedia reviews describe worn interiors and recurring lighting or maintenance shortcomings, although plenty of guests find the basics satisfactory. Breakfast is a light grab-and-go offering, not a proper spread, and guests sometimes report little being available. Expedia also lists hot-tub closures; don't book for that amenity. We'd choose it for a straightforward airport stop, but skip it for polished rooms or dependable leisure facilities.

• Best for: budget airport overnights; travelers with early flights; park-and-fly stays

• Watch out for: worn interiors and uneven maintenance; minimal grab-and-go breakfast; shuttle unavailable after midnight

• Location: Adjacent to Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport; better suited to flight connections than a city-focused stay.

• Rooms: Often described as comfortable but worn, with lighting and maintenance complaints across sites.

• Cleanliness: Recent feedback leans positive, though housekeeping consistency is not universal.

• Service: Helpful staff earn repeated praise, balanced by some reports of poor problem handling.

• Amenities: Free airport shuttle from 4 a.m. to midnight; light breakfast; Expedia lists hot-tub closures.

• Fees and surprises: Long-term parking costs extra; early check-in and late checkout may incur charges.
