Riviera is a 4-star boutique hotel whose strongest selling points are location and its larger suites, rather than polished luxury. It’s a short walk from the beach, restaurants and Convention Center, and the one-bedroom suites offer kitchenettes and separate living space. Expedia guests frequently praise helpful staff and comfortable rooms. It’s a reasonable pick for travelers who want a convenient base and will spend much of their time out exploring.
The trade-off is consistency: Booking.com and Tripadvisor reviews repeatedly mention tired furnishings, maintenance problems, uneven cleaning and occasional noise. The hotel advertises courtyard and rooftop pools, but management acknowledged pool closures for work in August 2026; a September Trip.com guest still reported the rooftop pool closed.
