Hotels in Marco IslandAn upscale canal-side condo resort with three-bedroom villas
8.9/10
Excellent family-sized villas and helpful staff, but not a beachfront or full-service resort.
Sunset Cove is an upscale canal-side condo resort, not a conventional Holiday Inn. We'd choose it for a family or group wanting genuinely generous space: three-bedroom villas have full kitchens, washer-dryers and screened balconies. Tripadvisor and Expedia guests consistently praise cleanliness, friendly staff and well-equipped interiors, with several 2026 reviewers describing refreshed units. Walkable restaurants and a useful beach shuttle make the inland location workable.
The trade-off is independence rather than full hotel service: there's no onsite restaurant or daily housekeeping, and a mandatory resort fee applies. The hotel schedules lobby renovations for September–December 2026, with potential noise; confirm pool availability following resurfacing scheduled for September 14–24. We'd skip it if stepping straight onto the sand or having everything serviced daily matters more than space.
