Axel's take: 8.0/10

Warm service and spacious rooms make this a good-value base, but choose your room carefully. An older full-service 4-star at Pasay’s busy EDSA–Roxas Boulevard junction, scored for what it is.

The Heritage is an older, full-service 4-star that makes a strong case on space, service and convenience rather than consistently modern rooms. We’d pick it for Mall of Asia visits or an airport stopover. Recent Expedia and Tripadvisor guests repeatedly praise helpful staff, clean rooms and the breakfast buffet. The pool, gym and Mall of Asia shuttle add practical value, while refurbished rooms earn noticeably warmer feedback.

The catch is uneven room condition: older furnishings and bathrooms remain common complaints, with some recent guests reporting musty smells. Phased room refurbishment has been reported, so confirm your room category and whether work will affect your stay. The busy junction also brings traffic and road-facing noise. We’d skip it for a quiet, polished luxury break; request a refurbished room away from the main road instead.

• Best for: Mall of Asia shoppers and eventgoers; Airport stopovers with time for traffic; Travelers prioritizing space and friendly service

• Watch out for: Uneven condition between older and refurbished rooms; Road-facing noise and heavy traffic; Phased refurbishment; confirm current work

• Location: Convenient for Mall of Asia and airport access by car, but allow for traffic.

• Rooms: Spacious; refurbished categories are the safer choice, while older bathrooms and furnishings draw complaints.

• Cleanliness: Recent feedback is predominantly positive, with some reports of musty rooms and bathroom upkeep issues.

• Service: Friendly, accommodating staff are the most consistent strength across review sites.

• Amenities: Outdoor pool, gym, restaurant, breakfast buffet and Mall of Asia shuttle.

• Fees and surprises: Damage deposit required; airport transfers and breakfast may cost extra, depending on the booking.
