#5 of 5 hotels in María Zambrano Station Area by Axel's take. María Zambrano Station Area is #5 of 9 places to stay in Málaga. The best hotels in María Zambrano Station Area, ranked · Where to stay in Málaga

Axel's take: 8.0/10

A practical station-side base, with friendly staff and rooms worth choosing carefully. a simple 3-star near Málaga’s main train station, scored for what it is.

Don Paco is a simple 3-star a few minutes’ walk from María Zambrano station, and a strong pick for travelers arriving by train or planning day trips. Recent Expedia and Tripadvisor guests repeatedly praise the helpful reception team and cleanliness. Rooms are functional rather than stylish, but the essentials generally land well. We’d choose it for a short city break where transport convenience matters more than hotel facilities.

Room choice is the main catch: several guests describe inward-facing rooms with little daylight, while noise and stuffiness crop up in some accounts. Ask for an exterior room if natural light matters. Breakfast is a modest buffet, not a reason to book, and parking costs extra. The historic center is roughly 15–20 minutes away on foot; skip it if you want old-town atmosphere or a beachfront stay.

Best for: train travelers and day-trippers; short, practical city breaks; travelers prioritizing cleanliness over extras
Watch out for: dark inward-facing rooms; some reports of noise and stuffiness; 15–20-minute walk to the historic center
Location: Excellent for the train and bus stations; walkable to the historic center, but not beachfront.
Rooms: Functional rooms with air conditioning; daylight and quiet vary, so request your priorities.
Cleanliness: A consistent strength across recent guest feedback, including Expedia and Tripadvisor.
Service: Friendly, helpful reception staff are among the hotel’s most reliably praised features.
Amenities: Free Wi-Fi, buffet breakfast, a bar and 24-hour reception cover the practical basics.
Fees and surprises: Parking is paid; breakfast may cost extra depending on your booking.
