#2 of 2 hotels in Barranco by Axel's take. Barranco is #3 of 5 places to stay in Lima. The best hotels in Barranco, ranked · Where to stay in Lima

Axel's take: 7.5/10

Good Barranco value and helpful staff, but noise makes it a selective pick. a simple budget hotel in Barranco with a couples-oriented focus, scored for what it is.

Hotel Bohemia is a simple budget hotel with a couples-oriented focus, not a boutique retreat. We'd consider it for an affordable Barranco base: the main square and Bridge of Sighs are roughly ten minutes away on foot. Booking.com and Expedia guests generally praise cleanliness, helpful staff and value, while the hotel's own site advertises private bathrooms, smart TVs and optional Jacuzzi rooms.

The main compromise is sleep. Guests across sites mention street, garage and neighboring-room noise, although others report quiet stays. Recent Expedia feedback also describes a somewhat rundown interior. The romantic packages and some guests' reports of short-stay use make it better suited to couples than anyone seeking a conventional family hotel. Breakfast can cost extra, and Booking.com's weak Wi-Fi rating is a warning for remote workers. We'd skip it if quiet nights or polished surroundings matter most.

  • Best for: couples on a budget; travelers exploring Barranco; short stays with modest expectations

  • Watch out for: street, garage and neighboring-room noise; basic, somewhat worn interiors; weak Wi-Fi feedback

  • Location: Walkable to central Barranco's restaurants, bars and Bridge of Sighs; on a busy avenue.

  • Rooms: Simple private-bathroom rooms with smart TVs; selected rooms have Jacuzzis, and some interiors show wear.

  • Cleanliness: Mostly positive across Booking.com and recent Expedia reviews, with occasional dissent.

  • Service: Friendly, helpful staff are a consistent strength; reception operates around the clock.

  • Amenities: Free parking, elevator, luggage storage and room service; breakfast is available, sometimes at extra cost.

  • Fees and surprises: Confirm breakfast inclusion and child policy: Booking.com says adults-only, while Expedia welcomes children.
