Axel's take: 8.8/10

A strong hospital-and-campus base, with clean rooms and useful freebies. a modern, no-frills hotel near Lexington’s hospitals and UK campus, scored for what it is.

This modern, no-frills hotel is a strong pick for hospital visits and University of Kentucky trips. It sits beside Saint Joseph Hospital, with UK less than a mile away and downtown about two miles off. Expedia and Booking.com guests consistently praise the cleanliness and friendly staff. Free parking, hot breakfast and Wi-Fi make it good value for a straightforward stay, while the colorful lobby and games offer somewhere to unwind outside the bedroom.

The trade-off is the stripped-back room design: several guests find rooms small, and the microwave is shared rather than in-room. Some mention thin walls or loudly closing doors, though others describe quiet stays. Breakfast generally satisfies rather than impresses. We’d skip it if you need generous living space, a pool or downtown attractions right outside.

  • Best for: hospital patients and visiting families; University of Kentucky visitors; short stays with a car

  • Watch out for: compact, minimalist rooms; occasional hallway and door noise; no pool

  • Location: Beside Saint Joseph Hospital, less than a mile from UK and about two miles from downtown.

  • Rooms: Clean, modern and compact; streaming TVs, with a shared microwave outside the rooms.

  • Cleanliness: A clear strength across Expedia, Booking.com and Google guest feedback.

  • Service: Friendly, helpful staff draw consistent praise across review sites.

  • Amenities: Free hot breakfast, parking and Wi-Fi; gym, lobby games and guest laundry, but no pool.
