#5 of 6 hotels in University of Kentucky by Axel's take. University of Kentucky is #2 of 6 places to stay in Lexington, Kentucky. The best hotels in University of Kentucky, ranked · Where to stay in Lexington, Kentucky

Axel's take: 8.3/10

A dependable campus-area base with friendly service, free parking and a few rough edges. a straightforward limited-service hotel near the University of Kentucky, scored for what it is.

This straightforward limited-service hotel is a strong pick for University of Kentucky visits and nearby hospital appointments. Recent Expedia guests repeatedly praise clean rooms, helpful staff and comfortable beds; Tripadvisor feedback broadly backs that up. Free hot breakfast and parking make it a practical choice, while an indoor pool and gym round out the basics. We'd choose it for convenience rather than character.

The downtown name needs perspective: Rupp Arena and the central entertainment district are a short drive away, not immediately outside. Several recent guests mention worn or stained carpeting, and some report noise from hallways or upstairs rooms, though overall cleanliness feedback remains strong. We'd skip it for a polished, walk-everywhere city break. If swimming matters, confirm availability: a June 2026 guest reported the indoor pool closed for maintenance.

Best for: University of Kentucky visitors; families visiting nearby hospitals; drivers wanting breakfast and parking included
Watch out for: Not in the downtown entertainment core; Some worn carpeting and internal noise; Confirm indoor pool availability
Location: Convenient for campus and hospitals; Rupp Arena is roughly a short drive away.
Rooms: Comfortable, practical rooms; recent feedback includes worn carpets and occasional hallway or upstairs noise.
Cleanliness: Generally a strength, despite several recent complaints about stained or dirty carpeting.
Service: Friendly, helpful staff are a consistent highlight across Expedia and Tripadvisor feedback.
Amenities: Free hot breakfast, Wi-Fi, indoor pool and fitness center; no on-site restaurant.
Fees and surprises: Self-parking is complimentary; pets are not allowed, except service animals.
