Axel's take: 8.8/10

A strong luxury pick for suite space and dining, with big-resort compromises. a luxury all-suite casino resort on the Strip, scored for what it is.

The Palazzo is a luxury all-suite casino resort that makes its strongest case with space: standard suites have generous living areas and oversized bathrooms. We'd pick it for a comfortable Vegas base with restaurants, shopping and pools close at hand. Recent Expedia and Tripadvisor guests repeatedly praise spacious, clean rooms and helpful staff, while Booking.com's strong comfort scores reinforce that picture.

The trade-off is scale rather than a shortage of amenities. Expect plenty of walking, busy public areas and smoking on the casino floor, despite smoke-free suites. Service and housekeeping occasionally miss the luxury standard, though positive reports dominate. Mandatory resort fees, paid parking and no standard in-room coffee maker also deserve attention. We'd skip it for intimate, smoke-free luxury; choose it for room to spread out and extensive dining choices.

• Best for: couples wanting spacious suites; restaurant-focused Vegas trips; Venetian Expo attendees

• Watch out for: casino smoke and long walks; resort fee and parking charges; no standard in-room coffee maker

• Location: Strip setting connected to The Venetian and its Expo; convenient, but the complex involves substantial walking.

• Rooms: Large suites with distinct living areas; some guests report aging finishes, so room category matters.

• Cleanliness: Strong ratings across Expedia and Booking.com; housekeeping lapses appear but do not define the overall picture.

• Service: Mostly praised as friendly and helpful, with occasional delays and inconsistent follow-through.

• Amenities: Extensive dining, shopping, pools and Canyon Ranch spa and fitness facilities.

• Fees and surprises: Mandatory daily resort fee, paid parking and minibar charges; standard suites lack coffee makers.
